I'm Brian Bauska. Graduated 1986 from Central Washington University. My passion besides family is databases. DDL, DML, DCL. Wrote my first database in 1983 using Pascal on a DEC/VAX VMS 785. Since, I've worked with HP3000 databases, IBM AS400/Oracle databases, DEC RDBMS, SQL, and warehouse management systems (both homegrown & turnkey). All relational.

  • Added links to system for proprietary sub-systems and ODBC link for access from Netware network OS for live and batch data warehousing.
  • Wrote sub-systems to interface with third-party manufacturing information system.
  • Included tracking system for preventative maintenance on plastic molds, and reports to track rejected molds.
  • Saved thousands of dollars by pinpointing reject locations and operators.
  • Supported hardware & software systems management on Alpha Server; also incremental and full image backups, terminal server linking and PC access to Netware.

  • Played key role by adding modules to barcode and reconcile permit collections.
  • Led support & maintenance of budgetary systems and DEC/VAX relational database systems.
  • Supervisor stated in 1991: ‘Brian is an excellent technician and has the people skills to be a truly outstanding programmer/analyst. I have a high degree of respect for his abilities.’
